Approved Providers

Approved ProvidersThe Mason Contractors Association of America has developed a national certification program for mason contractors. The program has been designed to assist masonry customers in selecting a quality contractor for their projects.

An integral component of the certification program is the Approved Education Provider Network. The Approved Education Provider Network will pre-approve and designate course work for certification credit. Contractors will have the opportunity to meet education requirements for certification by completing these courses.

Who Should Become a Provider?

If you offer education to mason contractors you should become a provider.

Not-for-profit associations are encouraged to be a part of this provider network and may already offer programs that are well suited for certification credit. Annual conventions and monthly meetings are great opportunities to offer national certification credits for attendees.

If you sell materials, products or services utilized by contractors, you are encouraged to use your knowledge of the materials and products and develop a concise education program (or multiple programs) that may be approved for certification.

What Will the Provider Network Do For the Program and the Providers?

Attendance reporting will be done by the providers. Attendance information will be sent to a central tracking service that will track each contractor's continuing education progress and make reports available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

There will be no questions as to whether credit will be given for your program or what type of credit will be given. Your programs will also be advertised through a database on our website and listed in Masonry magazine's upcoming educational opportunities page.

Every provider will gain credibility simply for being an approved provider.

Approved Providers

Why Should I Become a Provider?

The MCAA's national certification program will reach nearly 17,000 mason contractors nationwide. As contractors decide to become certified, they will be looking for educational opportunities. Becoming a provider will give your classes instant credibility and additional exposure to these contractors. All approved providers are authorized to use the MCAA certification logo to show their programs are eligible for credit and will be listed in a database of approved providers available on our website.

If you sell a product or service, becoming a provider will give you a great audience to talk to about the utilization of the products and services you sell. Education courses must not be sales pitches and must not discuss specific product names; however, there are no limitations before and after education hours.

How Do I Become an Approved Provider?

Simply download the registration form and return it to the MCAA with your payment. You will then be given a username and password to access the provider network online, and receive the information on how to file a course with the MCAA, how to report attendance for a program, how to take advantage of promotional opportunities for your event and guidelines for a good program. A copy of the MCAA certification logo will also be included.

Programs submitted to the MCAA for approval may take up to two weeks to be approved. Once a program is approved it may be offered on as many dates and in as many locations as you like. However, each day and location must be pre-registered as a separate event with the MCAA.
