The industry's critical shortage of labor at both the skilled craft and professional levels is probably the largest threat to the industry. To solve this challenge the construction industry requires a fresh and innovative approach to attracting and retaining workers. Professor Barbara Jackson at Cal Poly has declared that unless the construction industry changes the way it does business it will lose the "Y" generation and the consequences will be dire. This program explores some of the possible changes the industry needs to attract and retain the workers it needs.
