This course is designed to aid in the process to educate and help workers achieve "Compentent Person" status. This course will be tailored to the type of scaffold systems that the workers use on a daily basis. Mor ehours may be added for more types of scaffold. This helps the participant learn what is the role and responsabilitiyes of the competnet person> How to locate and understand written specifications by manufacutrtueres. Understand bases, securing scaffold, scaffold egress and access. Also the attendee will learn about fall proteciton requirements per subpart L and from the manufacter of the scaffold system. This will also help the Competent Person devlope thier process for inspection of the scaffold. We will also discuss safe work practices such as taging systems and the need for understanding load stregth of the scaffold.
