The construction process is characterized by a considerable amount of waiting, disruptions and events that lead to project delays and time/cost overruns. In this session, a proactive approach to project planning and scheduling will be highlighted. The use of short interval schedules, team huddles, look ahead schedules, and the master project schedule to "make things happen" rather than merely plan and track results will be addressed. The emphasis will be on the use of planning and scheduling of small and medium-sized construction projects.

- Understand how to integrate the project plan and schedule with the estimate and control system
- Learn how to prepare foreman work goals and budgets
- Analyze how to effectively crew a project and manage limited resources
