This seminar will explain the difference between the 2006 International Building Code, Building Code Requirements for Masonry Structures (ACI 530-05/ASCE 5-05/TMS 402-05) and Specification for Masonry Structures (ACI 530.1-05/ASCE 6-05/TMS 602-05) and how to apply them to constructing masonry buildings.

The history of building codes and reasons for ongoing code changes will also be be discussed. This seminar is intended for masonry contractors seeking Certification and who use the building code to erect masonry structures.

By completion of the seminar, the attendee should understand the need for, and how to furnish code compliant construction.
