The release of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hazard Communication (HazCom) standard in the 1980s had a tremendous impact on safety. Its requirements applied universally and introduced concepts foreign to even the most safety savvy employers. It soon became an easy target for OSHA citations. It has taken a long time for employers to get up to speed and many are still struggling. So, it’s no wonder there is great concern about OSHA’s proposal to adopt the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). This system will require everyone to update HazCom training and paperwork. members need to be prepared. This webinar will review the HazCom requirements and assist members with getting ready for the rule when it passes.
