COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

During this 1 1/2 day hands-on course, students will learn skills related to the installation of segmental retaining walls.

Course objectives include:

• Elevations
• Excavation
• Subgrade compaction
• Leveling pad construction
• Base course installation
• Marking and cutting
• Placing successive courses
• Compaction
• Drainage
• Geogrid installation
• Capping
Materials used within the course include: segmental retaining wall units and caps.
