COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

During this 2 1/2 day hands-on course, students will learn training and communication skills for field managers.

Course objectives include:

• Teaching techniques and communications skills.
• Students will effectively teach and lead a crew in the following areas:
I. Elevations
II. Layout
III. Excavation
IV. Subgrade Compaction
V. Geotextile Fabrics
VI. Base construction & compaction
VII. Grading
VIII. Edge restraints
IX. Sand screeding
X. Laying pavers
XI. Marking & cutting
XII. Compacting & setting pavers
Materials used within the course include: interlocking concrete pavers.
